(Assistant) Engineer, Network Engineering

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Design, plan, and engineer various network and cloud platforms to meet product specifications and operational requirements.
  • Establish, operate, and manage different network and system elements in TrueCONNECT, Global Ethernet, HK ISP, and China ISP.
  • Review and enhance network performance to maintain high service levels.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to other departments.
  • Offer escalation support and collaborate with the operations team on daily operations.
  • Carry out emergency duties and ad hoc tasks


Job Requirements: 
  • Degree holder or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines with a focus on network and cloud engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in engineering network and cloud platforms, data center operations, and customer technical support in the telecommunications field. Less experienced candidate will be considered as Assistant Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
  • Proficient in virtualization tools such as VMware and KVM, as well as containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, VPNs, Transmission, SD-WAN, SASE, Internet, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Aliyun), DNS, and network monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
  • Professional certification from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or public cloud providers is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Standby duty is required
