In the realm of Smart Access Management introduced by CITIC Telecom CPC’s experts, Vehicle/Visitor Access Management System (VMS) is crucial to regulate and monitor the access of vehicles and visitors to premises and facilities. It improves overall physical access management, streamlines operations, ensures heightened security, and enhances security level and safety of the enterprises.

In VMS, visitors are required to pre-register their visit through the pre-registration portal. Upon arrival, approved visitors undergo accurate and fast face recognition to verify their identity, streamlining the whole check-in process. For vehicles, license plates are first captured by License Plate Recognition (LPR) / Smart Cameras. The license plate information is recognized from the captured images and videos by computer vision technology. Through real-time database matching, the vehicle access permissions are granted within 3 seconds, curtailing manual intervention and expediting entries. The system is able to adeptly recognize two license plates simultaneously (e.g., Mainland China and Hong Kong license plates) with an exceptional 99.5% accuracy rate, surpassing market norms.
