Management Trainee Program

CITIC Telecom CPC organizes the Management Trainee Program to nurture trainees with all-rounded activities. This Program emphasizes on developing trainees through diverse undertakings, mainly through day-to-day on-the-job trainings, embarking on different projects, coupled with occasional data center visits, office tours and hosting soft skills as well as technical trainings.

The Program comprises comprehensive on-the-job training in different functional departments, ranging from product design to customer services, giving young talents an opportunity to capture both technical and non-technical understandings of today’s ICT operation. Rotations in different departments allow young talents to recognize their strengths and interests in the ICT industry so as to set a clear target for your career path. Moreover, it is common to have a fulfilling career with rewarding prospect in ICT industry upon completion of the Management Trainee Program, paving the way for envious and quick escalation through your career path.

The Management Trainees visited an Internet Data Center (IDC) to gain more knowledge about our data center operations. Management Trainees from different regions convened together to exchange their insights and work practices.
The Company values a happy workforce, so our Management Trainees leverage their creativity to build a happy workplace.
Various company events are organized constantly. Management Trainees have the opportunity to organize different events for staff from different regions.
Management Trainees frequently attend external events to broaden their horizon in the ICT industry. Through their exposure to different aspects of our operations, we entrust them with their professionalism and diligence.

Rock Yiu

Assistant Manager, Information Technology Services (2014 intake)

This MT Program gave me an opportunity to rotate to different departments for job exposure. By attending a series of soft skills and technical trainings, as well as taking part in new product design and workflow enhancement projects, my industrial and job-related knowledge added to my professionalism as a Security team manager. Because of my work experience, knowledge and passion to the Company, I am even given an once-in-a-lifetime chance to work in Europe's branch office responsible for providing solutions to our global customers. I am very excited to live and work in the Netherlands and I believe this will be a valuable experience!

Sam Ngai

Assistant Project Manager, Data Science and Innovation (2017 Intake)

The CITIC Telecom CPC Management Trainee Program is a comprehensive Program for fresh graduates. This Program not only helped me to develop my technical skills, but also enhanced my project management and communication skills. For example, I organized a big data workshop for external parties and participated in presentation workshops. During the department rotation period, I got the opportunity to further develop my leadership skills and explore different state-of-the-art technologies, such as security or cloud related products from different vendors. These experiences helped me to gradually establish my desired career path.

Account Manager, Enterprise Solutions (2018 Intake)

Choosing the right career path is always one of the most crucial decisions to make in our lives. CPC's Sales MT Program successfully guided me to devise my career plan and assisted me step by step. Rotating to different Sales teams allowed me to explore the features and uniqueness of each client industry. I was able to understand the comprehensive sales flow, from fact finding to pitching, solution planning to ordering. All these invaluable opportunities equipped me with comprehensive knowledge to become a professional account manager. CITIC Telecom CPC MT Program provided me with a golden opportunity to start and develop my career in the ICT industry. The Program not only sharpened my technical skills and industrial knowledge but also enhanced my communication and project management skills, which are essential for my further development. During the departmental rotation period, I was given a lot of freedom to explore through various projects, including security and network related service provisioning. Being a part of CITIC Telecom CPC MT Program was an extraordinary opportunity for me to expand my ICT industry knowledge. During rotations, I had learnt different technical know-hows and got a first-hand experience on managing various projects. Apart from developing essential technical skills, CITIC Telecom CPC has arranged fruitful workshops to enhance an immense palette of other skills. I also had a chance to exchange our insights with colleagues from different regions and MTs in China during our visit of the Shanghai’s branch office!
Overall, the Program provided me a chance to find which ICT aspect I am the most interested in and equipped me with the required skills in my future career path.
