CITIC Telecom International and China Mobile International Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement



 (April 22, 2020 – Hong Kong, China) CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (CITIC Telecom) and China Mobile International Limited (CMI) today signed a “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement”. The two companies agreed to strengthen collaboration and to continue to share the success in the areas of international telecommunications, regional integrated telecommunications business in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and enterprise solution business.

The ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Headquarter of CMI, agreement jointly signed by Dr. Li Feng, Chairman & CEO of CMI, and Mr. Xin Yue Jiang, Chairman of CITIC Telecom. CMI Director and Executive Vice President, Mr. Shen Weizhong, Executive Director and CEO of CITIC Telecom Mr. Cai Dawei, Executive Director and CFO of CITIC Telecom Mr. Esmond Li and other senior managements of the two companies attended the signing ceremony.

Currently, the “Belt and Road” initiative, the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the “One Center, One Platform, One Base” positioning in Macau and other macroeconomic policies have brought forth tremendous development opportunities for corporations in the region. The revolutionary transformation driven by 5G, cloud computing, big data, AI, IoT etc., has provided the telecommunications and ICT corporations new thoughts on understanding customer needs, market and product development, agile action and collaboration between industries. The recent outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic is bringing ongoing impact, it also presented immediate opportunities and challenges for companies to exert their respective strength in order to contribute to the society.
