The New Normal: EdTech – Revolutionized Education

The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has caused the abrupt closure of schools and job training centres across the globe. According to UNESCO, over 1.5 billion students worldwide were not able to attend school during the outbreak. Therefore, many students turned to online learning in lieu of classroom learning. The need for online education has become unprecedentedly urgent. Technology seems to be the sole remedy for this dilemma.

Intertwining Education with Technology

Online learning is no longer an implausible dream for students of this generation via video conferencing applications and e-learning platforms. In no doubt, they can help students learn without feeling left out amid the pandemic. However, maintaining student motivation and learning experience become the most critical challenge of online learning. Virtual Reality (VR) could be the solution to maintain the learning quality. It devises a virtual space where students from all over the world can collaborate and communicate with each other.

For learning institutions, the new normal of learning has transformed classroom teaching into more effective, remotely available and student-centered education strategy, which successfully empowered digital transformation in education.
