Key Responsibilities: 

Business strategy

  • Align with the Group’s direction, formulate and implement strategies and objectives.

  • Evaluate proposed business activities and transactions such as acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers or the sale of assets to ensure they are financially viable.
  • Drives and monitors the financial performance of the regional management and agree on corrective actions if plans are not met.

Financial management

  • Direct all corporate financial functions so that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organisation’s short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.

  • Prepare accurate, robust and timely financial and management accounting information (e.g. profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, management accounts, and regulatory reports and filings).
  • Prepare Annual Operating Plan in line with the Group’s direction and objectives and direct forecasting process.
  • Direct the production of the organisation’s statutory accounts.
  • Design, implement and maintain an effective corporate tax planning that is in compliant with all local tax rules. Monitor compliance of tax returns. 
  • Monitor the credit control function of CPC Europe. Develop, review and implement control policies and procedures.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide decision support to senior management.
  • Review and monitor the OPEX and CAPEX requisitions.

Banking/ Corporate Finance

  • Manage and direct the cash planning and treasury throughout the organisation and establish and maintain relationships with financing parties.

  • Establish and maintain positive relations with auditors, banks and tax authorities.


Legal

  • Supervises the design and monitor the implementation and execution of legal strategy, policies, processes and tools which are in line with the Group’s direction

  • Coach legal team to the level of strategic partner.

  • Establish and maintain positive relations with lawyers.


Leadership

  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of professionals / managers to ensure that the organisation’s financial strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines.

  • Establish communication channels with function line managers for regular and consistent information exchange.

  • Motivate supervised managers/ employees on a continuous basis.

  • Coach managers/ employees in order to increase performance on a continuous basis.

  • Monitor transitions within the department(s) and (liaise with HR&A to) make sure that an appropriate succession planning is in place for key positions.

  • Set objectives for his/her direct reports and follow up execution. 

  • Establish and maintain a working environment conductive to positive morale, quality, creativity and teamwork.


Risk management

  • Monitor and mitigate the financial, business and legal risks on a continuous basis.


Policies

  • Direct, design, implement and maintain detailed procedures to ensure business and financial controls are robust and effective throughout the organisation.



Job Requirements: 
  • Degree or above in Finance/Accounting, with professional accountancy qualification, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with MNC or sizable companies, and with over 5 years in managing a company or business unit.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills with good business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership and management capability.
  • Independent, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Oracle system is preferable.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
