Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the IP, transmission and backbone networks.
  • Ensure up to date network documentation, licenses, and SORM acts are hold for any service offered by CITIC Telecom CPC in Russia
  • Propose and implement standardizations for configurations and procedures
  • Investigate possible network expansions and design changing upgrades.
  • Develop and test network changes, deliver technical design and documentation
  • Interact with vendors, suppliers and operators for network needs, equipment and solutions
  • Support other departments in case of customer oriented network escalations, backbone problems and issues.
  • When required do hands-on work (installation, configuration).
  • Liaise with other departments to give input for new products and services
  • Develop and test new network services, deliver technical design and documentation
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned


Job Requirements:
  • Master degree in any area related to Information Technology, Computer Science, software engineering or information science or IT experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing network technologies in the Internet industry
  • In-depth specialist knowledge in network architecture, security, wired and wireless LAN technologies, WAN infrastructure, OSS Systems and programming.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in the operations and ongoing management of networks, including:
○ Access technologies such as: ISTN, ISDN, xDSL, Fiber, Leased Lines
 ○ TCP/IP and related Internet protocols, especially IP v4, IPv6 , MPLS, IPSec
 ○ Routing Protocols: BGP, IS-IS
 ○ Layer 2 Protocols: LAN and WAN switching including Carrier Ethernet
 ○ COS & QOS mechanisms and their application to VOIP and multimedia services
 ○ Transmission technologies CWDM, DWDM
 ○ Cisco Routers and Switches, IOS
 ○ Juniper Routers and Switches and Junos
 ○ Experience with Unix base platforms
 ○ Programming experience in C, C++, PHP, shell scripting
 ○ Storage, dedicated and virtual server platforms
Security aspects (firewall, authentication)
○ General knowledge of Database design

International experience, preferable in Eastern Europe in telecom or datacenter business

  • Language skills: Fluent in English
