+When I perform a schedule backup of my network drive, why there is always an error indicating “Access is denied” ?
Windows doesn‘’t support volume shadow copy (VSS) for the network drive, so if the file is being used during backup, SmartCLOUDTM EPS OBM will not be able to backup it. Please ensure all the files on network drive are closed before backup.
+When I perform a schedule backup of my network drive, why there is always an error indicating “Backup Source Does not exist!”?
Please ensure the network drive is always accessible during the backup. You can perform the following actions:
• Configure the Windows Service “AutoUpdateAgent (SmartCLOUDTM EPS Online Backup Manager)” and “Online Backup Scheduler (SmartCLOUDTM EPS Online Backup Manager)” to run as an user who has access right for the network drive.
• Create a pre-backup command (Net use...) to mandatory map the network drive before the backup starts.
+If my backup machine is completely down and I have the backup image stored in SmartCLOUD™ EPS platform, can I restore my machine to SmartCLOUD™ EPS platform?
No, SmartCLOUDTM EPS is a backup but not DR solution. You cannot restore and start your machine on SmartCLOUDTM EPS platform. You have to prepare a new machine at your site and restore it to the backup image from SmartCLOUDTM EPS platform.

+I have subscribed the remote installation service and will the engineer help me to create the backup policy?
No, CITIC Telecom CPC's engineer will remote install the SmartCLOUDTM EPS agent for the customer but not create any backup policy since creating the backup policy involves key in many confidential information, for security reason customer must do it themselves.
+Can I change my encryption key in future?
No, you cannot change the encryption key for the backup set afterwards. You have to delete the backup set with all the backup data and re-create a new backup set to key in a new encryption key.
